As a long-time public defender myself (21 years and counting), I thoroughly enjoyed season 1. I remember those early years fondly, as I WAS Jerry Kellerman. The only real difference between the show and real-life is that PD's and prosecutors never socialize. Ideological differences quickly transform law school buddies into professional acquaintances, to put it nicely.
