My friend Tamara just e-mailed me the invite to her famous (almost weekly) dinner party...
She's funny.
In other news: I got a nice write up in Elle, a mention in something called booklist and am hard at work on a piece for the ideas page of the Boston Globe.

A bit OT, but did you catch This American Life this week about a person named Carl King, who runs an organization called Success to Freedom, devoted to helping wrongfully convicted inmates. What's interesting is that it was started as a sort of "do it yourself" amateur investigation service that grew out of the creator's experience with how the police forced confessions and intimidated witnesses. He tried using lawyers to help, but when they didn't he started the organization himself. Much of the story takes place in Brooklyn, so i thought it might hit home for you.
You can listen live at www.thisamericanlife.org/ if you're interested.
Enough with the food. You're stagnant and doughy. There is no way you really surf, you could never paddle out for anything over ankle high, it just sounds cool to you.
Anonymous, the fan club takes great exception to your comment and finds it totally irrelevant. Even if true, Feige fans would not be deterred either by stagnant doughiness or by lack of surfing ability.
